Thick Plates

Applications

Insulation of electrode arms in arc & ladle furnaces; in high temperature heated platens & moulds in hydraulic and forging presses; dynamic breaking systems & arc chutes for locomotives; between the coil and the crucible in induction furnaces.

Heater Plates

Mica paper and splitting based epoxy and silicone bonded material in thicknesses from 0.25 to 100 mm. Used in a wide variety of applications from low to high voltage. Epoxy bonded mica paper is generally used for lower temperatures < 200°C.

Applications

Common low voltage applications: punched parts in irons, hair dryers, rice cookers and microwave ovens for the domestic appliance industry. Also as strip heaters where the heater plate is folded along with a metal strip.
